Italian builder Cantiere Delle Marche has ascended rapidly since it was founded 15 years ago. It's well deserved reputation and unique brand was earned through specialising in sub-500GT custom and semi-custom steel-hulled yachts, a means of hull construction which lends itself very well to explorer yacht builds. The two founders remain in the yard's two most senior executive positions, and they also remain true to their original founding purpose, which was to build very functional and capable vessels specific to each owner's exact requirements.
ACALA was built for a very experienced yachtsman who has owned a number of much larger yachts, but who was attracted to build at Cantiere Delle Marche. Like many yachts built by Cantiere Delle Marche, she has a unique layout, with four cabins on the main deck rather than the conventional main deck layout with just the one cabin, the Master. The advantage of this is that those four cabins have massive windows with sensational views. Furthermore, she is six cabins in total, with the two cabins on the lower deck having the capacity for 4 beds if required. This would be an excellent yacht for large or multi-generational family adventures.
